Mega Job Fair 2026

The Mega Job Fair 2026, organized by the Training and Placement Cell of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Management and Information Technology (SGTBIMIT) in collaboration with ICA Eduskills, was successfully conducted on 24th March 2026. The primary objective of the event was to provide a robust platform for students to interact with leading organizations and secure promising employment opportunities.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of our director Prof. (Dr.) Navneet Kaur, along with our respected Chairman Sir and Manager Sir. Distinguished delegates from DSGMC were also present on the occasion. Their gracious presence added significance to the event and served as a source of motivation for all participants.

The programme commenced with a formal welcome of the distinguished guests. The dignitaries were warmly received and acknowledged for their continuous support and contribution towards academic and professional excellence. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge, prosperity, and success. The ceremony marked an auspicious beginning to the Mega Job Fair and set a positive tone for the proceedings.

Following the inauguration, the job fair officially began with great enthusiasm and active participation. The event witnessed the participation of more than 40 reputed companies from various sectors. Some of the prominent recruiters included Genpact, Concentrix, Sony, Grastech, ICA, I Process, and several other esteemed organizations. The presence of such well-known companies provided students with a wide range of career opportunities across diverse fields.

The response to the job fair was highly encouraging. A total of 1,756 students registered for the event, reflecting the keen interest and preparedness among students to enter the professional world. The recruitment process conducted by the participating companies consisted of personal interview sessions, through which candidates were evaluated based on their skills, knowledge, and overall suitability for the respective roles.

Out of the the total registrations, 978 students were successfully shortlisted and selected by various organizations. This impressive outcome highlights the competence and potential of the participating candidates. Notably, 207 students from SGTBIMIT were among those shortlisted and selected, demonstrating the institution's continuous efforts in nurturing talent and preparing students to meet industry standards.

The Mega Job Fair proved to be an excellent platform for bridging the gap between academic learning and professional requirements. It provided students with valuable exposure, enhanced their confidence, and offered them a clear understanding of industry expectations. The success of the event can be attributed to the dedicated efforts of the Training and Placement Cell, whose meticulous planning and coordination ensured the smooth execution of the entire programme.
