The Counseling Cell at SGTBIMIT is dedicated to promoting the mental health and emotional well-being of students and staff. It provides a safe, confidential, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment where individuals can seek professional guidance for personal, academic, social, and emotional concerns.
The Cell aims to help students develop self-awareness, emotional resilience, effective coping skills, and informed decision-making, enabling them to thrive academically, personally, and professionally.
One-to-one confidential counseling sessions are offered to students dealing with concerns such as stress, anxiety, adjustment issues, relationships, family concerns, low self-esteem, grief, trauma, academic difficulties, and other psychological challenges.
Interactive group sessions encourage self-awareness, peer support, emotional expression, stress management, and personal growth through discussions and reflective activities.
The Counseling Cell works closely with faculty, mentors, and families to provide holistic support. Students requiring specialized care are referred to qualified psychologists, psychiatrists, or healthcare institutions whenever necessary.
The Counseling Cell promotes psychological well-being through the SMART Youth Club by organizing workshops, seminars, awareness programmes, and life skills activities that enhance emotional resilience, leadership, communication, and overall personal development.
The Counseling Cell believes that every student has the potential to grow and succeed. Through compassionate support and professional guidance, we strive to empower students with the confidence, resilience, and life skills needed to lead healthy, balanced, and fulfilling lives.
