National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit – SGTBIMIT

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Management and Information Technology (SGTBIMIT) is committed to nurturing socially responsible, disciplined, and community-oriented students. Guided by the NSS motto, "Not Me But You," the unit strives to instill the values of selfless service, leadership, teamwork, and civic responsibility among the youth.

The NSS Unit actively engages students in a wide range of community service and social awareness activities, including cleanliness drives, tree plantation campaigns, blood donation camps, health and hygiene awareness programmes, voter awareness initiatives, road safety campaigns, environmental conservation activities, and drug de-addiction awareness programmes. Through regular and special camps, volunteers work closely with local communities to address social issues and contribute towards sustainable development.

By participating in NSS activities, students develop a sense of social commitment, leadership qualities, and practical problem-solving skills, thereby contributing to nation-building while enhancing their personal growth. The NSS Unit of SGTBIMIT continues to serve as a vibrant platform for empowering students to become responsible citizens and catalysts for positive social change.

    Grateful, inspired, and truly honored to be a part of VBYLD (Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue) This incredible platform brought together passionate youth from across the nation to share ideas, innovations, and visions for a stronger, smarter, and sustainable Bharat From powerful interactions with national icons, expert-led sessions, cultural showcases, and impactful idea presentations to witnessing history at the Hon'ble Prime Minister's Town Hall - every moment was truly unforgettable  VBYLD is not just an event, it's a movement that empowers young leaders to think big, act responsibly, and contribute meaningfully to nation-building It strengthened leadership skills, boosted confidence, encouraged collaboration, and ignited the spirit of innovation Proudly representing FALGUNI DUBEY from SGTBIMIT (GGSIPU) as an active participant of VBYLD❤❤
  • Dog Food Donation Drive at Think Pawsitive Animal Welfare Foundation -
    Spreading pawsitivity with NSS 13 dedicated volunteers from Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Management & Information Technology came together for a Dog Food Donation Drive at Think Pawsitive Animal Welfare Foundation on 25th February 2026.With love and teamwork, we donated 25 kg of dog food for our furry friends Compassion in action, because we believe in "Not Me, But You."
  • Poster Making Competition on Nasha Mukti -
    NSS SGTBIMIT organized a Poster Making Competition on Nasha Mukti today to spread awareness against drug abuse. Students showcased their creativity and shared powerful messages for a healthier, addiction-free society. Through art and awareness, we aim to inspire positive change among youth.
    Let's stand together and say No to Drugs, Yes to Life.

     

  • Celebrating Women's Day with pride and positivity -
    On the occasion of Women's Day, we participated in the Shakti Walk at India Gate - Kartavya Path along with 150 NSS volunteers from GGSIPU. This initiative by the Ministry of Women & Child Development was a beautiful way to celebrate women's strength, unity, and empowerment 
  • Jal Mahotsav 2026 -
    "Water our future, our responsibility." 

    The *NSS Unit of SGTBIMIT* proudly conducted an E-Poster Making Competition on the occasion of Jal Mahotsav 2026, aiming to promote awareness about water conservation and the importance of sustainable water practices among students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation with students showcasing their creativity and thoughtful perspectives on preserving this vital resource by reinforcing the message that every drop counts under the guidance of Ms. Dilpreet Kaur and Ms. Mandeep Kaur We also express our heartfelt gratitude to our Chairman Sir S. Jasbir Singh Jassi ji, Manager Sir S. Raminder Singh Sweeta Ji and Director Ma'am Prof. Dr. Navneet Kaur for their constant support and guidance in organizing such events.

  • Drug Awareness Session attended at Ramanujan College -
     Students from SGTBIMIT College attended an insightful session organized by the NSS Unit of Ramanujan College on drug abuse & its legal and psychological impact. Advocate Chander Nigam explained the NDPS Act & legal consequences. A psychiatrist highlighted causes, effects & mental health awareness An NSS Youth Officer (UPSC) inspired students with his journey . A meaningful experience promoting a responsible & drug-free lifestyle.
