The Research and Development (R&D) Department serves as the hub of research excellence, and knowledge creation within our institution. The department plays a pivotal role in enhancing research productivity, academic collaboration, and professional development of faculty members and students. During the year, the department organized and facilitated various academic and research-oriented activities, including Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), workshops, seminars, expert lectures, and conferences on emerging areas of knowledge. These programmes provided opportunities for faculty members and students to update their skills, gain exposure to recent developments, and engage with experts from academia and industry.
The department actively encouraged faculty members to undertake quality research and publish their work in reputed journals, conference proceedings, edited books, and book chapters. Guidance and support were provided for journal selection, abstract preparation, plagiarism checking, and research dissemination to improve the quality and impact of research outputs.
The R&D Department also facilitated participation in national and international conferences, workshops, and research competitions. These events provide opportunities for academicians, researchers, industry experts, and students to present their research findings, exchange ideas, and establish collaborative networks.
During the academic year, the R&D Department organized and facilitated several Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) aimed at enhancing the professional competencies and research capabilities of faculty members. The programmes covered diverse areas such as application of artificial intelligence in transforming teaching and research, Data Analytics, Human values & ethics in higher education, Academic Leadership, and Innovative Teaching-Learning Practices. Apart from this, the department also organized a series of workshops, hands-on training sessions, and skill enhancement programmes to strengthen the research and professional capabilities of faculty members and students. The programmes specially focused on emerging technologies and presentation skills.
To foster the industry-academia collaboration and to promote experiential learning opportunities, the institute has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI).This collaboration aimed to facilitate knowledge sharing, industry interaction, skill development, research collaboration, and professional networking. The partnership has enhanced the institution's engagement with industry stakeholders and contributed to the promotion of innovation, research, and employability among students.
Through these initiatives, the department significantly contributed to strengthening the institution's research ecosystem, enhancing scholarly output, and supporting the overall academic excellence of the institution.
